Where should we
form your LLC?
Pick the state for your LLC. Not sure? Iowa is a great default — low fees, fast processing, strong protection, and you only file a report every two years.
Why Iowa?
Low filing fees, quick turnaround, excellent liability protection, and minimal ongoing requirements. Just one biennial report. No state income tax return for the LLC itself. Many people form in Delaware or Wyoming based on hype — but if you live in another state, you'll end up registering there too and paying double. We'll tell you if your situation actually warrants a different state.
What do you want
to call it?
Enter your desired LLC name. We'll check availability in your chosen state. Don't include "LLC" — we add that automatically.
Tips:
- Can't be the same as an existing entity in your state
- Avoid names that imply you're a bank, insurance company, or government agency
- Keep it simple — you can always d.b.a. (do business as) a different name later
Who are
the owners?
Tell us about each owner (member) of the LLC. Ownership percentages must total 100%.
Please add at least one owner.
Tax identification.
To get an EIN (Employer Identification Number) from the IRS, at least one owner needs an SSN or ITIN. We don't need the actual number — just need to know you have one.
Registered agent.
Every LLC needs a registered agent — someone who can receive legal documents on behalf of the company during business hours. Two options:
Registered office.
This is the official address for your LLC on state filings. Many people use their home address. A PO Box won't work for this.
Contact & mailing.
How should we reach you, and where should we send your documents?

Where should we send documents? Won't be publicly listed.
